Social Development

Subject and Purpose:

Prior to this agreement the New Zealand Income Support Service was responsible for paying United Kingdom pensions on behalf of the Pensions and Overseas Directorate of the Department of Social Security to pensioners living in New Zealand for twelve months or more. This agreement was the result of a decision to pay these pensioners direct from the Pensioners and Overseas Benefits Directorate, Newcastle Upon Tyne by overseas direct deposit.
