Subject and Purpose:

In accordance with the provisions contained in the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Cooperation 1990, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and Maritime New Zealand, who are respectively the national authorities responsible for oil pollution control, place on record the intention to promote mutual co-operation on oil pollution preparedness and response.
