Subject and Purpose:
Recognising the importance of our agriculture and food systems to the wellÂbeing of our populations and environment, the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and the Department of Food and Agriculture of the State of California of the United States (CDFA) have decided to pursue further collaboration on sustainable agriculture.
This Statement of Intent is in addition to and builds on the Memorandum of Cooperation between New Zealand and the Environmental Protection Agency of the State of California signed in May 2022, which aims, amongst other objectives, to "enhance cooperation on environmental protection, natural resources, and climate change".
