Exchange of letters between the Governments of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea constituting an understanding regarding bilateral trade talks.

Subject and Purpose:
To facilitate regular bilateral trade consultations between the two parties and to elaborate procedures where necessary for dealing with issues relating to bilateral trade as and when they arise. Also put through two proposals that should apply to the parties trade relations- to continue applying the GATT on a de facto basis in respect of bilateral trade between the parties and letting the other party know if there are measures that may affect them.
