This Agreement concerns the visit of a New Zealand Defence Force contingent of approximately 110 personnel to Western Samoa for Exercise TROPIC TWILIGHT between 19 July and 9 August 1995. The purposes of the exercise are to give New Zealand Service personnel practice in independent low-level military operations in a tropical environment, to undertake training assistance to the Western Samoa Police Force and conduct minor civil aid tasks.
