To amend the Amendments to the Agreement on a Working Holiday Scheme between the Government of New Zealand and the Government of the French Republic, a working holiday agreement to encourage young citizens to undertake an extended stay in the other's country combining tourism and discovery, including through work, to:

- eliminate the requirement for New Zealanders on a working holiday in France to seek a work permit once they have found employment, in line with a March 2016 change to French law; and

- extend the period for which French holders of a Working Holiday visa in New Zealand may access study, from three months to six months.
