This Agreement makes provision for a Contingent of approximately 120 New Zealand Army personnel to the Republic of the Fiji Islands during the period 5 - 26 July 1999 to take part in Exercise TROPIC DUSK. The purpose of the exercise is to give New Zealand service personnel practice in independent low-level military operations in a tropical environment and to provide training assistance to the Republic of the Fiji Islands Military Forces (RFMF).
