This Agreement makes provision for a Contingent of 75 RNZAF personnel and 4 Iroquois helicopters to the Republic of Fiji from 1-28 July 1999 to take part in Exercise TROPIC ASTRA 99. The purpose of the exercise is to provide RNZAF personnel with experience in helicopter operations in a tropical environment, to provide communications personnel with remote area communications experience, to provide training assistance to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), and to carry out civic aid tasks.
